Welcome To Our Year 4 Class Page!
This half term our work will be focused around investigating 'Living things and their habitats!' We are very excited to explore our local environment and find out about all the different living things that are there.
In Maths we will be developing our knowledge and understanding of Multiplication and Division, Measurement and Area and Fractions this half term.
TT Rockstars - We aim to complete our challenges 3 times per week in order to improve the speed and accuracy of our times tables.
Pupils are encouraged to access the TT Rockstars website from home in order to further support their progress in this area. (TT Rockstars login details can be found in the back of your child's homework book.)
Spellings will be taught on a Monday with Miss Dyson, set for homework and then tested the following Monday.
Children are encouraged to read from their reading books everyday. Reading books should be brought into school each morning and taken home each evening along with children's green reading diaries. Reading books will be changed weekly every Monday and set for homework.
PE is taught on a Tuesday by Mr Jacobs whose lessons will focus on dance and gymnastics. PE on a Friday is taught by Mr Wormald whose lessons will focus on rugby, this term. Pupils should come to school dressed in their PE kits on these days.
